Hi There!
Welcome here! I'm pleased that you took the time to stop by and see who I am. Although you won't get to meet me in person on these pages, I hope you enjoy a small peek into my life
All About Me
Hi! I am Kathy Goossen, the owner of this site and the maker of almost all the products that I sell! I live in sunny Saskatchewan with my husband, Kendall, and our 3 children: Aaron, Genevieve and Mercedes. We live in a blue house with a red roof on a small poultry and grain farm. We have 1 cat named Contessa, 1 dog named Dixie (and no the two of them do not get along at all), 2 budgies name Blue Mist and Crystal, as well as a fish tank with 5 or 6 fish in it.
I was born in Ontario, and spent most of my growing up years in Nova Scotia. The house I live in now is the longest I've stayed in any house/province and I feel my husband has changed me into a wide open prairie girl, although I'll never say no to trip back to Ontario or Nova Scotia to see family ;) The long and cold winters here in Saskatchewan do get to me and I sometimes feel like I'm trapped inside but there's always things to make and do.
I love making things. Crocheting is one of my favorite hobbies. Another favorite is to mill and bake bread from our own wheat from the bins. I love the smell of yeast dough and fresh baked bread. I also enjoy and do quite a bit of sewing. These would be my top things to do, but I wouldn't say no to trying something else. I love books and reading, I feel like collecting books and reading books can be two separate hobbies. I just finished reading Chasing Shadows by Lynn Austin. Also the children and I have been listening/reading the Ranger's apprentice series by John Flannagan. Awesome books for that age of children..
Anything else you'd like to know? Yes I am a very normal person with laundry piles on the floor, dishes left on the counter, crumbs on the floor and those other normal things. I do not enjoy the constant cleaning up but I so do enjoy the cleaned up house so I try my very hardest to stick to my schedule so things don't get out of hand..
